Busy August

Jon and Julian off on their long drive.

Julian caught his limit of Silver Salmon and also a few monster sized Sockeye Salmon. The bears also did their own fishing and ran the brave/stupid fishermen out of their holes.

I called Julian right in the middle of him pulling himself across a huge gorge.

So we survived being a split up family for a little while, but I don't think that we need to do that any time soon again.

Julian went to Alaska with my little brother for two weeks. We did our best to keep busy while he was gone. My poor parents barely survived us. It seemed as if the boys needed to create more messes than we could clean up. Gavin though that he would finger paint with mustard on my mom's new carpet. I am not much of a mustard person so I had no idea how bad it truly stains we will just say we had to re patch the carpet with a few remnants they had left over.

Anyway -

We went to The Golden Spike Monument in Utah while they were having a big reenactment so the boys got to go and enjoy themselves there and we visited Grandma and Grandpa Moses a lot. I am sure they will never be the same. Sorry Mom.

After we Picked Julian up from the Boise Airport we went up to Cascade for one last little family vacation together. It was wonderful! The weather was perfect and the Lake was fun. We took the boys on rides on the 4-wheeler around the mountain they just loved it. Plus we caught our first Family pet. A Tree frog. He likes to croak at night just to let us know he is still there.

I just can't get over how big Gavin is getting. There are some days when I wish he understood more. But Wow look at this kid he will be three next month and he is looking like a little boy more and more. Wow kinda scary.
Also has anyone ever had to try to get MUSTARD out of carpet that your almost 3 year old decided to finger paint with. If so my mom would love to know before we have to completely tear out the not very old light tan carpet. It is almost funny but not after trying to get it out for 5 hours. I would love to be enlightened if anyone knows.
Thanks
Deanna

Life is too short to sit still.

We have been trying to fit a lot of little and bigger things in to a short amount of time this month. Julian is on his way to Alaska with my little brother Jon. It sounds like they are having a great time. Last night he informed me they went to the water park in the mall in Edmonton and he got flushed down a toilet! And he went back to do it again so maybe we shouldn't feel too bad when we flush fish or other things down the toilet we are giving them a good ride. I have been teasing Julian that he might not come back from Alaska so we had to do some things before he dies.
So after my dad got out of the hospital we all went CAMPING! Warm river campground by Afton Idaho. It was an awesome place. There was grass and a stream to float down with the kids and hardly a mosquito to be seen. A few weeks earlier our ward took us up to Salmon to go on a white water trip. It was so fun but we had to either do a mosquito dance the entire time we were there or hide in the tent. I danced and Julian and the boys hid.
We went to the Twin Falls Temple one more time. And I helped plan and get a Moses Reunion to happen. It was a lot of fun but not long enough. So it was probably perfect. My Dad seems to be doing alright he is on oxygen and it is helping his pain level. As hard as it has been for him the last few months it just hasn't been his time yet.
