2014

We have had a great year!!
Julian got a new job for his birthday!!  He is now working with a great group of guys setting headstones and providing the burial vault for people when they die.  It is different but he has found a lot of peace being in all of the obscure cemeteries.  We were so happy living in Ammon.  It was really windy but the people were so friendly and fun.

My moms breast cancer came back.  We weren't sure where and how bad so we decided to go on a road trip to Ohio.  Lisa my sis and her family live there.  They were baptizing her oldest so I felt impressed to go.  It was amazing seeing the country.  We saw the openness of Wyoming and the different landscapes in Colorado. Then on to Kansas and Missouri, Illinois, Indiana (I saw my first experience with lightning bugs. It was MAGICAL) Then onto Ohio. We saw the Kirtland temple.  It was different.  Then we were able to see Lydia be baptized. On the way home our adventures kept coming.  We went through the Tom Sawyer cave (very fun). Then on to Carthage to the jail that Joseph and Hyrum were murdered.  It had a feeling of forgiveness about it.  It was nice. Then we went to Nauvoo!  It was my favorite!  I have 4 little boys and there was so much for them to enjoy while we were there.  I loved it. We went to as much as we could in a day and a half.  Then we went on to our home.  We found a little gem in Iowa Train land USA.  It was a perfect way to get up and stretch.  Then the long trek through Nebraska and Wyoming.

The week after we came home to be with Julian again we found out that we were moving.  We moved to Preston!  It is a wonderful little town.  We are in a beautiful 100+ old house.  It makes me want to be more of a home maker.  I keep finding myself wanting to make homemade rugs, and dreaming about moving on to a ranch and raising cattle or something.  Funny

The boys played soccer this fall.  It was so much fun to watch them.  I am the luckiest mom!  They are doing well in school.  Gavin was Bapized it was a wonderful time.

Wesley Maurice

Well we did it!!!  Wesley was born 12-12-11!  He is beautiful / Handsome and wonderful!  He was 8 pounds 14 ounces and 21 inches long.  He was born in Pocatello with the nurse midwives.  They are the rockin best!
(the birth story)
I am strep B positive so in order to make sure we had the medicine long enough Julian and I hung out in the delivery room long before I would have normally.  I hate being in there and being monitored all of the time.  So I got my meds and then we had to hang out and wait three hours for the midwife to come and break my water.  (that way the medicine has time to take effect.)  She came in and said ok lets have a baby.  Broke the water and 20 min later the contractions started.  I labored in the bathroom holding onto the hand rails and Julian rubbed my low back.  Then he started to come. So I hollered for her to come and she got some cool clothes ready because I was getting really hot and also a hot cloth ready to help the muscles relax where he was crowning.  ( that helped a lot actually)  I could tell just one or two more contractions and he would be here so we went to the bed in between contractions.  I climbed up on to the bed and got onto all fours.  (I read somewhere that if the baby was sunny-side up being on all fours helps open the birth canal more and the hips to allow more space and helps eliminate shoulder dystocia) I pushed a few times and the head came and few more good strong pushes and his body came.  THey said that He had his arm next to his face so I felt glad that I felt prompted to go onto all fours.  He was my biggest and yet one of the easier of the births.

Fall 2011

Fall 2011
We have had a wonderful fall.  Gavin turned 5 in September.  He and Zander started preschool and are loving it!  Julian made a Donkey so we could pin the tail on.   I was able to walk a 5k with my Sister and cousin.  We made awesome capes that said "Super Mom"  We figured it was fitting enough since between the three of us we have 9 kids.  For Halloween we were a mid-evil times family.  With Julian and I as a King and Queen and the boys - well cute as always.  Just a few weeks more and we will have our fourth little boy home with us.  We can't wait!!!
