So this semester is over. We survived having Julian gone over spring break. He loved being there and loved coming home. Julian starts work at robertson supply again for the summer up in Twin so we will be apart a little this summer but it will be fine. But in the mean time we have been going on adventures. It all started when we thought we would go fishing. I have been a little nostalgic about fishing and tried doing it as much as possible like Dad wished he could have. SO we went up to McTucker ponds and tried our luck. (I have never been a very good fisherwoman. I just can't see the fish like Dad could he had x-ray fish vision though so and I don't think it was passed on to me maybe it skips generations or something.) While we were trying our best to cast our line out into the water into to wind I noticed you could really hear frog croaking like crazy nearby. So after the boys decided they were tired of not catching anything and the rocks were so much more fun to play with we decided to be done fishing and go look for frogs. Well we sure found them. We saw at least 6 little chorus frogs happily croaking away. And we caught two. A male and female. we brought them home and that night we had a whole batch of eggs. we now are raising 13 tadpoles!
We took the mom and pop back home and then we caught a Leopard frog. We took him home and observed and fattened him up on good ole Petco crickets and then decided he would be happier in his home.
This last weekend we went to The Bruneau sand dunes and found a Spadefoot toad. I like frogs a little better I think but she sure is active and jumpy. I'm sure she will be happy when we are done observing her too but it has been so fun catching frogs. I guess I have better eyes for frogs than I do for fish.
